Chapter 1
This chapter is mostly establishing the power dynamic, with only discussion of other things. It’s not exactly negotiation, but it’s not… not that, either.
Chapter 2
The Potions Master assesses, so that plans can be fine-tuned; Lucius offers respite to his new boy afterwards, and finds out something that changes the boy’s context.
Chapter 3
Lucius finds a name for his new pet, and Draco comes to dinner with some important news for his parents.
Chapter 4
The boy gets himself Lost, and has many conversations in the darkness there.
Chapter 5
Lucius deals with the aftermath of his boys not getting along with each other, and tells his pet what he’s decided to call him.
Chapter 6
Mantis has breakfast, and meets the Mistress.
Chapter 7
Mantis gets an enema and has a catharsis (not in that order); meanwhile, Lucius gets ideas while Narcissa does the daily milking, and they both talk over the repurcussions of both the Incident from the night before, and the news that Mantis delivered over breakfast….
Chapter 8
Severus returns from his errand, and Lucius updates him, before going to see how Mantis behaved during his first test; Mantis explains what a Daddy is, and Lucius begins to show Mantis safety like Mantis has never known before.
Chapter 9
At luncheon, Mantis’ thoughts spiral uncontrollably down; luckily, he’s in the company of someone who’s an expert at taking all that awful, burdensome thinking and making it… stop….
Chapter 10
Mantis is brought gently out of Imperius, and given proper aftercare for the first time in his life.
Chapter 11
Lucius begins to learn more about Mantis by going through his possessions; unfortunately, he gets interrupted, after only finding out what is perhaps the most important thing about his new boy, when the Chirurg arrives….
